Home Staging Benefits All Homes for Sale!

Once thought of as a service for only high end properties, Home Staging is growing in popularity in all price ranges and in all areas of Los Angeles and all of Southern California.  Every home can benefit by having an experienced Home Stager as part of the marketing team.

From Orange County, throughout Los Angeles County and now Ventura County, we have had the opportunity to assist homeowners in preparing their homes for sale.  And what outstanding results we’ve seen!  From Home Staging Consultations to simple de-cluttering and rearranging of furniture in occupied properties to complete Home Staging of vacant homes, these sellers are reaping great rewards on their investment in Staging.

Home Staging Gets Results in Playa Vista, CA

When Jonathan Sands, Realtor at Coldwell Banker Beverly Hills, recently listed a condominium in Playa Vista, his client really wanted to get a great price for his unit.  Jonathan advised him that if he wanted to get top dollar for his home, he should have it Staged.

Well, great advice Jonathan!  We had the opportunity to Stage this home for his client.  It is a great unit, and painted with dramatic colors.  We added furnishings and accessories that let buyers know that these dramatic colors are really fun and warm to live with.  The final look definitely created the “Wow Factor” they were looking for.

Thank you for letting us know that this unit was in Escrow within the first week of listing it.  Now it has closed at the highest price in the entire building!  Home Staging is an investment that really gets results!

Home Staging Report Success!

Here’s an update on a Home Staging Consultation Report success story.

We got an email from an excited agent that let us know that his listing has gone into Escrow after receiving multiple offers. In the Real Estate agent’s own words, ”sold in 12 days for $120,000 more than a model match that is closing this week.  Thanks for your expertise.

We can’t wait until this gets closed and the homeowners are in their new home.

Great job everyone!

Spring Cleaning? Stage Your Home as Part of the Renewal Process

At this time of year when nature is beginning its season of renewal, many people decide to do a deep spring cleaning in their homes.  Why not take it a step further and Stage your home with a little Home ReDesign?

Your busy scrubbing, polishing and vacuuming behind the sofa.  As you go through this cleansing ritual, take at look at the items you are busy cleaning.  Do they still fit your lifestyle or are they ready to be retired?  Would a couple new accent pillows, towels or new linens give your home a little visual and emotional boost?

Just as our wardrobe changes with the seasons and the years, so does the decor of the rooms we live in.  Our lifestyle and tastes evolve.  The process of letting go of the things that no longer fit allows us to make room for new things to come in.

What I have found successful is to take all of the accessories and set them out on the table or floor.  After I finish cleaning them, I try them out in new places and in new arrangements around my home.  Moving them around and using them in different ways makes them fresh again.  And sometimes, I decide they no longer fit at all.  I then decide if I want to hang on to them for later use or give them away to someone else who can enjoy them now.  I always feel renewed when the process has been completed.

So as you are going through the ritual of spring cleaning, Stage your home to better fit your current lifestyle.  Rearrange furnishings to reflect the way you live in your home.  Either fix or get rid of the things that no longer work or are no longer used.  Let go of those things that no longer fit who you are now.

If you would like help and a fresh set of eyes, contact a Home Stager in your area.  Home Stagers are trained to make use of the things you already have and can help decide what to add new to achieve your desired Home Design.

This spring, don’t just clean your home - Stage your home with Home ReDesign to reflect your current lifestyle and to create the surroundings that will bring you joy.

Home Staging Report Taken to the Max!

Wow!  What a great Staging job these homeowners in West Hills, CA just did!

It helps to have a fabulous home to start with, but when sellers are serious about getting their home market ready, watch out!  Big things happen!

Rodney Johnson, Realtor at Century 21 All Properties in Chatsworth, visited one of the listings I Staged recently.  He loved the results, my client gave him my number and things just clicked.

When Rodney was awarded a great listing in West Hills, he recommended us to his clients.  I had the opportunity to meet with those clients and to provide them with a Home Staging Report.

How wonderful when homeowners are willing to make small changes to their home in order to prepare it for the Real Estate market.  This great family has loved their home of many years and it was not an easy decision to leave it.  But in order to move on to the next chapter of their lives, that is the decision they made.

Some homeowners have a difficult time letting go of the way things have been.  What might seem like a subtle change on the surface, can have much deeper impact than one might imagine.  But letting go of the way things have been is a major step in marketing a home for sale and moving on to the next step in life.  And these homeowners really jumped forward.

Rodney was kind enough to call me when he saw the results of the homeowner’s work.  I could not help but look it up on the MLS to see the results.  I am so proud of these homeowners!  This was already an amazing home, but now it shows like a true Model!

Great job!  I wish you every success, a quick sale and a smooth close of Escrow!

Home Staging Begins with Great Curb Appeal

You’ve been working hard Staging the interior of your home.  Your home is sparkling clean, you’ve repositioned your furniture for the best traffic patterns and eliminated the extra clutter that seems to magically accumulate.  A fresh coat of paint and your home is now Staged to perfection.

Or is it?

When Staging your home, remember how important first impressions are.  Curb appeal begins right there, at the curb.  Do you have a clear path to your front door or do you have to duck and dodge overgrown trees and shrubs to get there?  Is the path clean and in good condition or is it full of trip hazards?  And what about your front door?  Is it dirty and dusty and in need of paint or is it clean, inviting and in good condition?

Whether you live in a single family home, townhome or condominium, you want to make a great first impression.  Make sure the plants lining the path are healthy, vibrant and not overgrown.  Make sure your address is clearly visible.  A fresh welcome mat and a bright clean door will invite visitors and speak positively about the care and attention you’ve given your home.

So while working hard to Stage your home to show its best, remember to take a look at your home’s curb appeal.  Make your home’s first impression a positive and inviting one.  You and your home deserve to reap the rewards of a great first impression.
