As I was working around town this past weekend, still digesting my Thanksgiving feast, I was pleasantly surprised at how many people were out house hunting!  Lots of buyers out there lining up to see the homes that are on the market. 

Quite a change from most Thanksgiving weekends I remember.  From what I have seen in the past, Open Houses tend to be very quiet at this time of year, what with all the family in town, the holiday shopping season kicking off and the winter home decorating getting in place. 

I take it as a great sign for the Los Angeles housing market.  Buyers are out there looking; I hope if you are getting ready to sell your home, you are getting it in tip top shape so it is ready for its Open House!  You want to impress those buyers when they come thru, make sure they remember your house as the one they would want to spend their holidays in next year.

Oprah is going to featuring an spot on her show about getting homes ready for resale.  She is looking for people that are getting ready to sell their homes and that need to get them market ready.

She has a page on her site where you can submit your contact information if you are interested in participating.  Should be fun!  Why not give it a try, your home just might be featured on Oprah’s show getting its makeover.

Certainly it will be fun to watch and check out the cool tips she gives on getting the home to look its best for sale - without breaking the bank.  I love to see what people do to make their homes look better than the competition-that’s what Home Staging is all about - putting a home on Stage and getting it sold!
